Nama combines human and artificial intelligence to improve the consumer experience at scale

Nama's story begins in February 2014 with the need to simplify and improve the consumer experience in large companies. Developing a proprietary Artificial Intelligence technology that automates conversations was the differential that has guided the startup until today.

In 2015, Nama was one of the winners of the PitchGov program, organized by the Government of the State of São Paulo, aiming to solve public service problems with its technology. This is how Poupinha was born, a virtual assistant for scheduling Poupatempo, a unified citizen service center in the State of São Paulo that surpassed 100 million messages, with more than 450 thousand of them “Thank you” and/or “God bless you” in demonstrations of gratitude and affection to Poupinha.

It was in 2016 that Nama joined the first class of the Google for Startups Residency Program. It took six months of a dense orientation program with Google professionals and partners that extended to the second group, in 2017, and the startup created a valuable network that turned into big business in the following months.

2017 was a year of growth and expansion. In addition to conquering its largest accounts, Banco Interamericano de Desenvolvimento (BID) and Magazine Luiza, the latter being Nama's largest bot with more than 270,000 active users per month and winning awards, Nama was invited to participate in the acceleration program from the Creative Destruction Lab (CDL, in Canada, where he had the opportunity to have the developed technology presented to the Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau.

But it was in 2018 that Nama selected the team for the public launch of its platform, aimed at offering an assertive and personalized consumer experience. In addition, Nama has expanded its operation to strategic clients, many of which are on the Forbes 2000 list.

Nama opens a crowdfunding campaign with new investors, customers and employees to accelerate its growth.
